- Make sure you have all necessary paperwork and that your passports are in order.
- Consider obtaining an international driving license.
- Check electrical supply available in your destination country.
- Check the currency in your destination country.
- Check for health information and health care in your destination country.
60 Days before Moving Date
- Prepare an inventory list and Contact Guardian Cargo Logistics.
- Check customs regulations for household items and relocation options and regulations for pets with the consulate of your destination country.
- After consideration and comparison choose your mover and set up a moving sate.
- Book all necessary personal travel arrangements.
- Inform local authorities of your coming relocation.
- Perform change of address procedures.
30 Days before Moving Date
- Sort out items you do not need.
- Clean items and prepare them for packing.
- Donate items you decide to leave behind.
7 Days before Moving Date
- Finish cleaning up items and prepare them for packing.
- Sell or donate all remaining unwanted items.
- Provide new address and personal information to family, friends etc.
- Contact Guardian Cargo Logistics to re-confirm your moving information.
- Prepare adapters or transformers.
2 Days before Moving Date
- Prepare luggage and destination stickers.
- Disconnect and clean appliances.
- Try to reserve a parking spot for the truck or container.
Move Day
- Keep all personal items and important documents such as cash, passports etc with you to make sure the will not be accidentally packed.
- Before the moving crew leaves perform a room by room inspection to make sure no items were left behind.
